This work is about art, and the people within it.

I photograph in a way that’s grounded, intentional, and deeply human — a blend of fine art and storytelling that values presence over performance.

My work is often described as “different,” not because it tries to be, but because it isn’t built around trends, formulas, or what boudoir is supposed to look like. It’s built around connection. Around slowing down. Around creating images that feel lived-in, honest, and lasting.

At its core, this work isn’t about posing or perfection.

It’s about translating real people, real bodies, and real moments into art.

A young woman with dark hair gazes over her bare shoulder, wearing an off-shoulder sweater in dramatic moody lighting.

without art,

we are all just foreground.

while the work itself is intentional and art-led, the space it’s created in is warm, relaxed, and very real.

I’m not overly serious. I laugh easily. I swear sometimes. I’ll guide you clearly, make sure you’re comfortable, and probably crack a joke if things start to feel too intense. You don’t have to arrive confident, polished, or knowing what to do — that’s my job.

You just have to show up.

The experience and the art are inseparable.

How you’re held during the process matters just as much as what we create.

Presence, safety, trust, and ease are not “extras” — they’re part of the work itself.

I photograph often because I love this work. Creating fuels me. Repetition sharpens my eye and deepens the art. But nothing here is rushed. Each session is approached with the same care, whether it’s your first time stepping into this space or your fifth.

The result is work that feels calm instead of performative, intentional instead of manufactured — art that reflects who you are, not who you think you should be.

On investment

Working together begins with a session experience, with artwork and collections curated afterward.

The session fee is $499, which secures your time, preparation, professional hair and makeup catered to you, and the guided experience itself. Artwork and collections are curated separately afterward, allowing the work to unfold naturally without pressure or pre-selection.

Most clients choose to invest between $1,500–$7,000, depending on how they decide to hold the work — albums, wall art, digitals, or a combination of pieces.

Full pricing details are shared openly during the inquiry process, so everything feels clear, comfortable, and aligned before moving forward. There’s always space for questions, conversation, and intention around what feels right for you.

The artwork created during your session is meant to live beyond the day itself.

I offer a small, intentional selection of heirloom pieces — fine art albums, wall art, and curated digitals — each chosen to support the work rather than distract from it. These aren’t add-ons or afterthoughts. They’re part of how the art is held, revisited, and lived with.

Albums are designed slowly and with care, treating each image as part of a larger narrative rather than a collection of singles. Wall art is chosen for its presence — pieces that feel grounding in a space, not loud or performative. Digitals are offered thoughtfully, for those who want to carry the work with them in quieter ways.

Nothing here is mass-produced.

Nothing is rushed.

Each piece is selected to honour both the experience and the art — so what’s created doesn’t just exist, but endures.

Testimonials

What an amazing experience, to have someone capture your vulnerable side and trust they treasure it. I have waited years to do this thinking I was never good enough. I let go..and was blown away by what I saw. I am beautiful, powerful and a strong woman. Thank you to Riana for capturing me.

Testimonials

Riana made me love some of my body parts more. The pictures took my breath away. I almost didn't recognize myself in some of the pictures, I was so happy and surprised I could look like that. I loved the pictures so much and it was soo fun. I want to do another session with Riana. I even told my gfs about how great it was because I want them to feel and see how pretty they are too. I was so nervous I almost didn't wanna do it, but Riana made everything so comfortable and relaxing

Testimonials

I was SO nervous, but Riana made me feel so comfortable and taken care of - I was worried about looking awkward but again, Riana made me look AMAZINGGGGG. I struggle with body image and confidence but having this session and the images from it has given me such a boost - seeing my body from a different point of view has given me a new perspective on my body image and seriously put me on cloud 9.

Get in Touch

If this work resonates, you’re welcome here.

Reaching out doesn’t mean you have to have everything figured out.

It’s simply the first step in a conversation.

one more thing — and i say this because i want you to walk in feeling completely at ease.

my work is dark and cinematic and intentional. i take it seriously. but i am not serious. i'm the person who will talk your ear off about something completely unrelated, lose my train of thought mid-sentence, make you laugh before you even realize you're comfortable, and somehow still get you the most beautiful images you've ever seen of yourself. the art is heavy. the experience is not. you're not walking into something stiff or intimidating — you're coming to hang out with someone who genuinely loves what she does and wants you to feel that from the moment you walk through the door.

Session in Vancouver or the Island? I'm always down, just ask!
